Installations

Installations mark the current centre of Mindshapes spatial research. In these works, the wave moves beyond the image and becomes a physical structure. Transparent, reflective and suspended elements create relationships between line, light, air, shadow and architecture. The viewer is not only looking at the work from outside. Their movement, distance and physical presence become part of how the work is perceived.

Elevazione

Elevazione is a suspended installation made of plexiglass and steel. The work extends the wave into a physical structure that can be experienced from multiple positions. Its transparent and coloured elements create relationships between line, light, shadow and movement. Rather than presenting the wave as an image, Elevazione transforms it into a spatial rhythm. The viewer’s position, the surrounding light and subtle movements in the environment affect how the work is perceived.
